Elizabeth Spaeth is Recognized by Worldwide Branding For Excellence in Acccounting

CHARLOTTE, MI, June 22, 2016, Elizabeth Spaeth, Chief Financial Officer of The Markerboard People, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in accounting.

Elizabeth Spaeth and her husband created, patented and copyrighted their Markerboards and Dry Erase markers, thus creating The Markerboard People. They manufacture silk-screened boards for schools and businesses, which are designed by Richard Geer, a renowned artist in Michigan and their dear friend. Serving as the chief financial officer, Ms. Spaeth prepared for this career by obtaining an accounting degree.
In addition to her role with The Markerboard People, she is a secondary instructor at Michigan State University. A two-time Women’s Masters World Judo Champion, she has a fourth degree black belt in Judo and took over and funded the Judo Club at the Michigan State University. They provide scholarships and a venue for teaching women self-defense. Ms. Spaeth and her husband also originated and fund a scholarship for the Jamaican Deaf Village for the educational and medical needs of the deaf students and residents. As a result of their efforts, individuals in the frequently shunned, deaf population in Jamaica now have the right to earn a driver’s license and drive in Jamaica.
Named one of the Top Female Executives, Professionals & Entrepreneurs by Worldwide Branding, Ms. Spaeth is an honored member of The International Women’s Leadership Association, recognized for her contribution to family, career and community. Looking ahead, Ms. Spaeth plans to continue in her current role and teach Judo. She also plans to become certified as a Kata judge for national and international competitions.
