Francis McCabe Inducted into Worldwide Who’s Who for Excellence in Mechanical Engineering and Aerodynamics
DOYLESTOWN, PA, July 27, 2013, Francis J. McCabe, President of Gyrodynamics, Inc., has been recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in mechanical engineering and aerodynamics.
Recognized for professional longevity, Mr. McCabe boasts five decades of practice experience in his field. Just one short year ago, he became the president of Gyrodynamics, an energy and environment company that provides a wide array of products and services.
Mr. McCabe began his decades-long journey in the industry in the 1960s, when he founded Prefco, which provided clients with fire, smoke, and ceiling radiation dampers. Contributing to the safety of others through his company was Mr. McCabe’s true passion, and the company became instrumental in changing laws on the topics of fire regulation and safety. After almost three-and-a-half decades as the founder and chief operating officer of Prefco, Mr. McCabe left the company to become the vice president of Omniwind Energy Systems. Over the years, Omniwind had remarkable success giving residential customers the power of free wind energy to power their homes and vehicles.
Throughout the course of his impressive career, Mr. McCabe has developed a wide range of products benefitting the world at large. He is the holder of 100 patents, as he has the rare ability to invent, manufacture and bring clean and eco-conscious products to the marketplace. He has worked with Boeing, MDI and NASA.
Mr. McCabe lives by the “Cradle to Cradle” philosophy, which states that a person can profit and improve mankind simultaneously, in order to create a pollution and disease-free planet. This philosophy has led him to develop air and wind technologies, such as the world’s fastest and lowest wind responding turbine and the world’s most powerful max-torque windmill air foil systems. Mr. McCabe also created the first car to run on compressed air, which means that it requires no gas or electricity whatsoever. He was invited by the Queen to visit Parliament to speak on a paper he wrote regarding one of his products, which he initiated in his local hospital. When asked about the highlight of his career, Mr. McCabe cited the 35 year success of Prefco Products, Inc. as the foremost manufacturer of smoke control system products, with code implementations that have saved many lives.
During the past 50 years, Mr. McCabe has received a plethora of awards, including the Da Vinci Award from the Institute for Human Potential, and the 25-Year Silver Salute Award from Drexel University, where he studied mechanical engineering. He was elected US Navy Pensacola Flight Class Leader. He is certified in rocket physics by NASA, and he is also an experimental airplane builder. He had published: 11 scientific articles/papers on aerodynamics, gyrodynamics, smoke/fire control, building and hospital disease control and social policies. In the near future, Mr. McCabe intends to put his patented blades and windmill systems into high-powered and vehicle driven windmills. He also intends to introduce over unity gyro dynamics into mainstream physics.
